Inspiring Wood Artists

Salem Barker
Sculptor Salem Barker is from Rockford, Illinois. He carves a variety of materials (wood, rock, and metal) and is inspired by every day life.

Ray Cologon
Cologon's work as a sculptor spans twenty five years. His work shows a great affinity for natural materials and frequently features precious and exotic woods, sometimes combining them with other media. The works combine traditional and modern techniques to achieve novel and sometimes surprising effects. He currently lives in Melbourne, Australia.

Robert Reeves
Robert Reeves' work is strongly influenced by his architectural education at Washington University in St. Louis where he received a Master of Architecture degree in 1967.

For the next 20 years after graduation, he pursued a career as a city planner in St. Louis and San Francisco. He designed and built his very own home in San Francisco as well. After he had achieved his goals, he moved to Palm Springs, CA to live a more subdued lifestyle and explore his capabilities as a sculptor.
